Meet your therapist
emily jaskier, LCSW
I have over 10 years of experience providing therapy in a mental health setting as well as experience in professional leadership. I have helped clients achieve great success with improving their relationships, stress management, and navigating life transitions; such as transitioning into motherhood. My clients have made lasting changes when we have worked together using mindfulness techniques combined with cognitive behavioral therapies. I use a holistic approach to treat the whole person by implementing skills to strengthen your physical, mental and emotional health.
As a former D1 athlete, I enjoy motivating people to take ownership of their life. I strive to create a relaxed atmosphere with a down to earth demeanor to help you feel accepted and confident to make your desired changes. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental space for you to be able to explore how to work towards the best version of yourself!
In our first session, we will start to build our therapeutic relationship by discussing the current issues that are bringing you into therapy. We will then collaborate to identify the specific goals you wish to achieve in order to become the healthiest version of yourself.
I believe we're all capable of change if we put in the work. What sets me apart from other therapists is that in a session with me, we will balance our time of processing your feelings while also walking away with concrete skills to address your current stressors. These skills can range from changing our thought patterns, to developing different action routines, to finding healthier outlets to express ourselves.
I help my clients by providing psychoeducation, validation, coping skills from evidence-based therapies. A typical session will consist of checking in on behavioral changes we discussed previously and introducing new skills. We will then process your feelings related to current stressors and discuss an action plan of ways to improve your life outside of therapy.

How does it work?
-
Evaluation
We meet for an hour to discuss what’s bringing you in and how I can help. We’ll outline a plan of action and schedule around implementing it. There is a free consultation before this if you’re unsure if this is the right fit for you.
-
Therapy
After the evaluation, we’ll decide how frequently to meet and work through a treatment plan that we make together to address the goals you have for treatment.
-
Maintenance
After achieving your goals with therapy, sessions may end or they can enter a maintenance form for touching base and more subtle course corrections if desired (usually conducted much less frequently).
-
Location
Currently, all of our appointments are being offered remotely via video calls.
-
Out of Pocket Cost
The upfront cost of 60-minute sessions is $150 if not covered by insurance. Payment is due at the time of service and receipts are provided for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
